caught in the act: a poem
introspection on a dorm dinner
the realities of dorm eating unfold. although cup ramen is perfectly safe out of the prepackaged and ready to serve styrofoam cup, andrew follenweider opts for a red bowl decorated with cats and noodles. did he have this bowl prior to moving in for his freshman year? was it perhaps a tongue-in-cheek grad gift from a family friend? the bowl has a story. similarly the cup has a story. how many miles did it travel to end up in mid-missouri, to be consumed by a hungry college freshman?
proverbs:splish 140 - one would rather walk the longer path through trees than the shorter path in the desert
this makes me want to have a bowl of ramen and introspect about it.
